Because having a premie newborn isn’t a big enough challenge…

I am now temporarily homeless.

My neighbor upstairs left his sink running and flooded our kitchen, which in turn has grown mold.

We now have 24 hours to vacate our apartment for 3+ days while they demo the ceiling and treat the mold.

I’ve reached the point where I just laugh maniacally for minutes on end.

Oh my gosh that’s awful! Glad they’re getting you safe though. And it’s not in the dead of winter… That’s always a small plus. Hang in there! Xx

Very true. We’re using this as an opportunity to take a mini vacation. Lemons into lemonade!

Oh no! Poor you! It doesn’t rain but it pours!
Hope it all gets sorted soon. And I chuckled at the idea of you laughing maniacally! 🙂 x

Yup- couldn’t make this up if I tried! There does come a point where it gets funny, though.

Oh no!! I am so sorry you are dealing with water and mold. I think it’s absolutely best that you get away from the mold right away, but I know the idea of being uprooted right now is far from ideal. I hope the next few days pass really quickly and you can get back home soon.

Yes, we realized we had to get out of there soon. The mold itself wasn’t mediately harmful, but once they ripped the walls down all bets are off. So we’re off on a mini vacation! Got to make temporary homelessness look good!

NO KIDDING. On the plus side, my neighbor feels so bad, he keeps giving me presents including a really delicious pie.
